FirePro Condensed Aerosol Fire Suppression generators do not contain any harmful chemical substances e.g. Sulphur Hexafluoride SF6, Hydrofluorocarbons such as HCFC, HFCs (23, 32, 41, 43-10mee, 125, 134, 134a, 152a, 143, 143a, 227ea, 236cb, 236ea, 236fa, 245ca, 365mfc) and Perfluorocarbons PFCs, which are in the process of being phased out under European Legislation, due to their negative impact on the environment. Fluorinated gases (‘F-gases’) are a family of man-made gases used in a range of industrial applications. Because they do not damage the atmospheric ozone layer, they are often used as substitutes for ozone-depleting substances. However, F-gases are powerful greenhouse gases, with a global warming effect up to 23,000 times greater than carbon dioxide (CO2), and their emissions are rising rapidly.
FirePro has been assessed by GEN (Global Eco-labelling Network) and can carry the Green Label Certificate. The Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) is a non-profit making association of Type-1 ecolabelling organizations as defined by the ISO 14024 standard. Their standards address multiple environmental criteria across the life cycle of a product or service and, most importantly, they are transparent in their development process and employ independent, third-party verification. Its purpose is to improve, promote and develop the ecolabelling of products and the credibility of ecolabelling programs worldwide.
